The movers were incredible!! They were very professional, careful with our belongings, and right on schedule. The dispatcher Luis kept updated about my delivery, which I really appreciated. Everything arrived safely with no issues. Highly recommend this company!! My move was truly a great experience with Transport America!"

"I usually don’t write bad reviews but this one is needed. For starters Mark is the main rep, seems to mean well but ultimately has no control over the move. They claim to NOT be a broker, they are 100% a broker. I dealt with 2 different moving companies on pickup and delivery. 2 of my boxes ended up missing and they sent me to a 3rd party claim service that was worthless. So still I will never get my missing boxes & never get any money back from all my damaged items. On top of that my stuff took over a month to get here. Most of my things were damaged and there is nothing anyone will do to help. I would suggest literally any other moving company this felt like a nightmare and just beyond unprofessional. On arrival I was charged another $500 and on drop off another $100. Please use any other company and make sure to dig into your contract. Goodluck."

"Please do not use this moving company. Communication is terrible. They will raise the price as you go along. It took almost one month to get our belongings. When they arrived our Furniture was broken, boxes were soaking wet and crushed belongings inside of the boxes were broken and damaged andnow we are trying to make a claim and it is just about impossible to do so. We are told we need a bill of landing and it is utterly impossible to get through to receive that document. The number they gave us for the move was no longer available the day after items were picked up.The driver who dropped our goods told us there was no paperwork for us. They will not take a credit card they require cash or Venmo or ZELLE at pick up and drop off. The driver came at night to drop out belongings at our new home. There was only one man because his coworker did not show up. They kept adding more money, even though we were quoted and told the first flight of stairs was free and there was only one more flight of stairs they kept asking for more money along the way to get our items delivered. It just seems so poorly run and they lost one of our boxes full of irreplaceable items. As well as damaging and destroying much of our belongings. See photos. Please consider not using this moving company. They come across as so charming and wonderful on the phone and it turns into an absolute nightmare. We are so sad that we have lost so many of our precious things through an irresponsible moving company which they promised was not broker and it 100% is."

"Move Details: Washington State to Illinois, Long-distance relocation. Summary: Fraudulent Business Practices and Bait-and-Switch Scam. I am writing this review to warn others about the deceptive and potentially fraudulent practices of Transport America Moving Services. What started as a professional moving service inquiry turned into a nightmare involving multiple companies, contract manipulation, and what appears to be an elaborate scam. The Deception Begins. Our salesperson, Mark, explicitly represented Transport America as a moving company that employed their own drivers. This was a primary factor in our decision to hire them. We paid a deposit and scheduled our pickup date based on this representation. The Bait-and-Switch. After our belongings were loaded (by movers wearing Transport America shirts and presenting Transport America contracts), we discovered that Transport America does not actually employ these workers. Instead, our deposit payment was processed by 'Loadrans LLC' -a company we had never heard of or agreed to work with. Escalating Problems. Payment manipulation: Loadrans refunded our credit card payment and demanded cash wire transfers, despite our contract clearly stating that deposits and mid-shipment payments could be made by credit card. Lack of disclosure: Katherine from Transport America's dispatch failed to disclose the company change until problems arose, then took Loadrans' side against us. Contract switching: While holding our belongings hostage, Loadrans sent us a completely new contract with their company name. Abandonment: Transport America eventually claimed they had 'no formal relationship' with Loadrans and abandoned responsibility for our move entirely. Held Hostage. Loadrans refused to ship or deliver our belongings unless all fees were paid via wire transfer in cash. When we requested proof of their contract with Transport America, they refused to provide it. We were forced to wire money to get our belongings released. Delivery Issues. Delayed delivery: Our items arrived 25 days later. Split shipments: Belongings came in two separate deliveries. Lost items: Many of our possessions were missing. Wrong items delivered: We received other people's belongings and had to locate the rightful owners to exchange items. Red Flags for Future Customers. Transport America appears to operate as an unlicensed broker, not an actual moving company. They misrepresent their services and employment of drivers. They abandon customers once third-party movers take possession of belongings. Payment processing switches to unknown companies without consent. Contracts are changed mid-process while belongings are held hostage. Recommendation. DO NOT USE TRANSPORT AMERICA MOVING SERVICES. This company engages in deceptive business practices that appear designed to trap customers into paying additional fees through potentially fraudulent means. The stress, financial loss, and damaged/missing items make this one of the worst business experiences we have ever encountered. Save yourself the nightmare and choose a legitimate, licensed moving company with verifiable employees and transparent business practices. Would I recommend this company? Absolutely not. Would I use them again? Never."

"Chad and Eric were definitely the BEST with this whole situation and me moving miles away to a different state They were the only helpful ones. Other then those 2 I would not recommend the moving company because they over charge and Mike went over everything I was taking with me and then when it was time to load up all of sudden I’m over my footage and I had to pay extra for another load which is very frustrating. There is no point in asking what you’re taking & then you’re being told it all won’t fit. Justin was okay but they just want money money money. Chad and Eric kept me updated on the when they will be arriving they should be the dispatchers honestly"
